After arrival at Maun International Airport, Mack Air will coordinate your charter flight at 2 p.m. to Xakanaxa Airstrip in Moremi Game Reserve. If you're already in Maun, an airport transfer will be arranged. For those coming from a safari lodge, we can organize a direct flight to Xakanaxa. You'll spend the first three nights exploring Xakanaxa's wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. From the air, spot large breeding herds of elephants in the mopane scrub, pods of hippos in the waterways, and grassland inhabitants like buffalos and lechwes. Birding enthusiasts can anticipate sightings of AfricanHawk-Eagle, Gabar Goshawk, various hornbills, cuckoos, and more.

This area is known for its bull elephants and breeding herds, as well as predators such as lions, leopards, serval, and African wildcats. Birding in Mababe is exceptional, with sightings of the Kori Bustard and various raptors. The safari ends in Kasane around 3:30 pm, offering one last chance for photography along the Chobe River, known for its large elephant populations.

During your safari, you'll be accommodated in spacious 4 x 3m Sahara-style tents, crafted to blend comfort with the authentic feel of the African wilderness. Each tent features a high roof for a spacious interior, complemented by a 2 x 3m en-suite bathroom and an additional 2 x 3m covered area at the front, perfect for you to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.
The tents are furnished with solid base camp beds, equipped with comfortable mattresses, sheets, duvets, and pillows, ensuring you have a restful night's sleep after a day of adventure. For your convenience, each tent includes en-suite long drop toilet facilities and a private bucket shower located at the rear. You can have your shower water heated to your preference—hot, cold, or warm—and it is prepared on the fire for an authentic bush experience.
Hand towels and bath towels are provided in each tent. You are reminded to bring your own personal items and toiletries. For a touch of ambiance and practicality, each tent is illuminated by an oil/paraffin lamp on the veranda and in the bathroom, and a LED rechargeable camp light inside, accompanied by a side table in both the sleeping area and the bathroom for added convenience.
Families traveling with younger children on private safaris are well catered for with specially designed family safari tents. These tents are two-bedroom units, featuring an adjoining bathroom and a lockable exit/entrance, providing both safety for the children and peace of mind for you. Each bedroom accommodates 2 people, ensuring privacy and closeness for family members.
