If you are flying with Airlink or Air Botswana, you are allowed 20kg for your main luggage and 7kg for carry-on. For safaris that include any charter flights, such as Northern Highlights and Miracle Rivers during peak and shoulder seasons, you are restricted to 20kg in total. This must be packed in soft luggage as the planes used are small charter planes that are heavily regulated. If you exceed the restricted amount, you may be asked to leave items behind with the operator if the safari starts in Maun. If you wish to bring extra luggage, you can purchase an additional seat, but please advise us when confirming your booking.
The safari vehicles are designed for both comfort and spaciousness, accommodating up to 9 guests in a three-seat-per-row configuration. However, to enhance comfort, the scheduled mobile safaris are limited to a maximum of 6 or 7 guests, depending on the specific itinerary.
For those opting for a private safari, the vehicle can be fully utilized to seat 9 guests. Alternatively, a second vehicle can be arranged if needed. Each vehicle is also equipped with a fridge to ensure that cold drinks are available at all times during game drives.
All vehicles are fitted with inverters and strip plugs, allowing guests to charge batteries while on safari using the AC charger that came with your appliance. For guests who need to purchase adapters, Botswana uses the Old British 3 Pin Type M plug (same as South Africa). These inverters are for necessary items such as camera batteries only; please avoid bringing items that require long charging times, such as electric toothbrushes.
Yes, our mobile safaris can be booked as private safaris for groups of up to 12 people.
